Office of the Auditor General (OAG) – Jubbaland State Somalia

what we do

Supporting Oversight Through Transparent and Reliable Audit Reporting

Audit reporting is a central function of the Office of the Auditor General of Jubbaland State and ensures that audit findings, conclusions and recommendations are communicated in a clear, accurate and timely manner. Through this function, the Office provides Parliament and oversight bodies with reliable information to support accountability and informed decision-making.

Audit reports present the results of financial, compliance, performance and special audits. These reports highlight key issues such as control weaknesses, non-compliance with laws and procedures, inefficiencies in the use of public resources and gaps in service delivery. The reporting process ensures that findings are supported by sufficient evidence and presented in a structured and consistent format.

The Office prepares a range of reporting outputs, including annual audit reports, consolidated summaries, management letters and special audit reports. These documents provide a comprehensive view of the management of public resources and support oversight institutions in reviewing government performance.

Audit reporting also includes follow-up on the implementation of recommendations to assess whether corrective actions have been taken. This process strengthens accountability by ensuring that audit findings lead to measurable improvements in governance and financial management.

Through effective communication, adherence to professional standards and timely submission of reports, the Office strengthens transparency, supports legislative oversight and promotes responsible management of public resources across Jubbaland State.
